Reporting within the Application Delivery team, the analyst will join a geographically dispersed team of systems analysts. The majority of the team works remotely and does not have a persistent in-office presence, but attendance in the office may be required from time to time.
The senior IT systems analyst will act as a technical lead for our technologies in any project or initiative. The role will plan, organize and follow up on activities and improvements to the assigned technology portfolio. The analyst will continuously deliver new solutions to drive business value, while keeping an eye on maintaining business-as-usual activities.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Acts as the iManage Product owner and subject matter expert for Norton Rose Fulbright Canada.
- Acts as an escalate point for all iManage technical issues and questions.
- Liaises with the vendor for issue resolution and technology roadmap.
- Works with practice groups and key stakeholders to leverage the platform effectively and gather business requirements.
- Collaborate with other regions on configuration and management of iManage Cloud tenant.
- Acts as a technical resource for all technological matters, whether support or change related, within the assigned technologies.
- Troubleshoots identified issues.
- Accountable for issue resolution.
- Escalates to vendors as required.
- Manages the application portfolio, and ensures it remains up to date.
- Applies system patches.
- Proposes and performs system upgrades.
- Creates and maintains clear roadmaps.
- Establishes and grows relationships with associated vendors.
- Manages licenses and assets.
- Analyses and monitors system performance.
- Supports knowledge transition.
- Completes service transition documentation.
- Creates knowledgebase articles.
- Builds and maintains runbooks.
- Leads knowledge transfer sessions with other team members.
- Provides after-hours call support.
- Participates in monthly post-patch testing.
- Performs system upgrades during non-peak business hours.
- Responds to major incidents promptly.
- Represents the Application Delivery team for assigned projects and initiatives.
- Is the single point of contact for application-related activities.
- Assesses impacts to other systems/processes/platforms.
- Escalates roadblocks and major issues.
- Performs business and functional analysis in relation to assigned processes/platforms.
- Develops an understanding of business value generated, or core purpose fulfilled by their technologies.
- Seeks out process and system efficiencies.
- Designs and proposes new solutions to meet business needs.
- Adheres to defined ITSM processes.
- Creates change tickets, follows up with approvals, coordinates required resources, and presents changes to the Change Advisory Board.
- Monitors the team queue for incidents and captures troubleshooting activities.
- Analyses recurring problems for root cause, proposes remediation activities, and executes them.
- Creates, proposes, commits to, and executes against work plans.
- Mentor junior team members.
What you bring to the role:
- A two-year college diploma in a technology-focused program.
- At least 5 years’ experience working with and supporting iManage Work. Ideally would also have experience with iManage Cloud, iManage Share, iManage Threat Manager and iManage Security Policy Manager.
- At least 10 years’ experience in IT with 7+ years in a similar role.
- Technical skills:
- Troubleshooting
- SQL scripting
- .NET/programming
- Windows Server
- Windows Desktop
- Business and functional analysis experience.
- Legal industry knowledge preferred.
- Able to cope with conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
- Ability to present new ideas.
- Bilingual an asset.
- Achieved or pursuing ITIL Foundation certification.
- Achieved or pursuing PMP, CBAP, Agile, or other project management or business analysis certification.
Vancouver salary: $87,665 - $142,454 Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
