We’re looking for a Human Resources/Talent Operations Generalist to join our Talent Operations team!
About the Job
The Talent Operations Generalist handles day-to-day HR operations and administration, including benefits administration, leave management, payroll processing, compliance, policy administration and workers’ compensation.
What You'll Be Doing
Benefits, 401(k) and Policy Administration
- Oversee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and employee communications, using systems such as Ease/Navigator.
- Manage 401(k) programs, including enrollment meetings and employee questions.
- Serve as a point of contact for HR support across multiple states, ensuring compliance with state-specific labor laws, particularly in California and other complex jurisdictions.
- Provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Ensure company policies comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Educate employees and managers on updates and enforce policies consistently.
Leave of Absence Administration
- Administer and track leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and other state-specific leaves), ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Partner with employees, managers, and external providers to facilitate leave processes.
Workers’ Compensation Administration
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, acting as the liaison between employees, managers, and insurance providers.
- Ensure timely reporting and tracking of claims, and facilitate return-to-work programs.
- Oversee compliance with workers’ compensation regulations and assist with periodic audits.
Payroll and Employee Changes
- Process employee status changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, etc.) in payroll and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to address discrepancies and support payroll processing.
HRIS Management
- Maintain accurate employee records and data in BambooHR and other HRIS platforms.
- Generate reports and insights to support decision-making.
- Coordinate the administration of performance review cycles.
Compliance and Audits
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA and wage/hour laws.
- Support compliance audits related to benefits, workers’ compensation, payroll, and HR documentation.

Preferred qualifications include:
- Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience, including multi-state responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations or other complex states.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms, particularly BambooHR, and benefits platforms like Ease/Navigator.
- Experience with workers’ compensation administration, compliance, and audits.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
- Familiarity with updating pages and lists in Sharepoint.
